Senoko Power Station is a combined cycle power station and the only power generation plant in northern Singapore. As one of the largest and most efficient power generation plants in town, Senoko Power Station has a licensed capacity of 2,644 megawatts (MW) and supplies about 20 per cent of the nation’s electricity needs.
The power plant originally operated under the Public Utilities Board (PUB) in Singapore between 1977 and 1995, and was subsequently divested to Singapore Power in 1995. After being acquired by a global consortium in 2008, the station is now wholly operated by Senoko能源私人有限公司.

In 1977, Senoko Power Station was built as part of PUB’s plan for energy self-reliance. 我们的 inaugural station was located at the former British Naval Base, Sembawang. Officially unveiled on 31 July 1977 by then Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr S. 拉贾拉特南, the plant touted some of the most advanced technologies in that era, including a 3x120MW steam plant with computer-based control system and automatic data logging system for operations.
